EL CHALTEN

El Chaltén is the Argentine Capital of Trekking. In this impressive natural setting you have multiple and varied options for walking, climbing, excursions or walks. The strong emotions begin long before arriving, when the distance divides the mountains and glaciers that make this corner of Patagonia unique.

To get to El Chaltén we travel about 220 km from El Calafate, we take the critical route 40 and then the route 23 enjoying wonderful landscapes of the Patagonian steppe, along the La Leona river, surrounded by the Argentino and Viedma lakes, the glacier Viedma and will always reach the view in the mountain range, we arrive at this magnificent tourist town where you will enjoy a fascinating experience.

El Chaltén is an ideal place for hiking, especially when we approach Fitz Roy (Chaltén), Cerro Torre, the Torre glaciers and the Capri, Torre and De los Tres lagoons among many other incredibly beautiful places.

Our menu of activities avoided to all types of passers-by enjoy this fascinating place, considering their previous experience or age. The walks can be done independently using the self-guided routes or with our guides.

We have full day programs from Calafate (Full day Chalten) in regular or private services.

 

OP1 – El Chalten Libre with Box Lunch

Full day excursion from El Calafate with self-guided trekking in the Chalten area towards Mount Fitz Roy, Laguna Capri, Laguna Torre, among others. It is an ideal excursion for nature lovers, since they can travel independently for 5-6 hours along the famous trekking trails that start from El Chaltén. You will be able to visit the natural viewpoints that offer beautiful views of the surrounding hills, in addition to visiting the lagoons in the middle of the Patagonian forest of Los Glaciares National Park.

OP2 – El Chaltén with Mirador de los Cóndores and Chorrillo del Salto with lunch

Full day excursion to visit El Chalten departing from El Calafate. It includes stops and quiet walks in viewpoints, lunch in a restaurant and free time to explore the typical mountain town, always accompanied by a guide. They will visit the Viedma Glacier Viewpoint, the National Parks Interpretation Center, the Condors Viewpoint, the Chorrillo del Salto and the city center. It is an activity to get to know El Chaltén in a relaxed way and without physical demands.

Includes: Transfer from your hotel, Lunch at a restaurant (with out beverages and dessert). Guide throughout the tour and the excursion to Mirador de los Cóndores and Chorrillo del Salto. Quiet walks through the forest and the city.
