Cerro Frías, 1,095 meters above sea level, is isolated in the middle of a valley, allowing you to enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Centinela Valley and Torres del Paine (Chilean National Park) during the ascent; to the west, the peninsulas of Magallanes and Avellaneda and, to the north, Cerro Fitz Roy. The view also encompasses the main body of Lake Argentino, its Brazos Rico and Norte, and Boca del Diablo.
Located within the lands belonging to Estancia Alice, 23km from El Calafate and on the way to the Perito Moreno Glacier, Cerro Frías is a magnificent opportunity to spot wild flora and fauna of the region as well as ranch animals. In addition to the bushy vegetation characteristic of the Patagonian steppe, you can see the forest of lenga trees on the southern slope of Cerro Frías.
At the Estancia we offer 4 guided adventure tourism activities, which are carried out simultaneously through different circuits of Cerro Frías: 4×4, Zip Line, Trekking and Horseback Riding.
We have 3 daily departures so that no one misses the opportunity to live an unforgettable experience in a surprising natural environment. The dynamics of the activities also allow members of the same group to carry out different activities, since all the passengers meet in the Estancia Alice’s Quincho before starting the return journey.
Passengers will also have at their disposal a beverage service (not included) that works in the Quincho de la Estancia, where they can relax and enjoy the surroundings before returning to El Calafate.
