In this tour the Patagonian steppe is crossed, approximately 50 km from Calafate we reach the Santa Cruz River valley where we will have to navigate in double kayaks through this emblematic River of our Patagonia.
From the famous Charles Furh spot, located at the mouth of Lake Argentino, we will sail for 15 km to Estancia El Rincón. In this navigation you will know part of the route that Charles Darwin made in the year 1877 when he arrived at the Lake that he later baptized with the name of Lago Argentino. Once we arrive at the ranch we will have lunch in the ranch house.
The Santa Cruz River is one of the most important watercourses in Argentina. It is located in the province of Santa Cruz. It has a length of 385 km, although with its sources —the La Leona River and Lake Viedma— it reaches 543 km. Some explorers and scholars sailed it from its mouth to Lake Argentino.
